The ministry of Camp Harmattan depends on the involvement of many dedicated staff and volunteers committed to doing their part in building the kingdom of God.

His Part / Our Part - Joshua 1:2, 5"...Arise, go over this Jordon...I will not leave you nor forsake you." When God assigns us a challenging task, He promises to give us what we need to accomplish it. John Wesley wrote, "Among the many difficulties of our early ministry, my brother Charles often said, ‘If the Lord would give me wings, I'd fly.' I used to answer, ‘If God bids me fly, I will trust Him for the wings.'" Joshua was thrust into a position of great responsibility and challenge: following in the footsteps of Moses and leading the Israelites into the Promised Land. God not only gave him the responsibility and challenge but also the reassurance and backing he needed. As a camp ministry we too have a responsibility and a challenge, "To provide an excellent Christian camping environment where people can develop spiritually, physically, mentally and socially into fully committed followers of Christ." As we faithfully do our part of being "strong, and of good courage... not afraid nor dismayed," I believe that God's promise to us is the same, that He will be with us wherever (we) go. (vs. 5) As we all faithfully do our part He will do His part. WHERE GOD GUIDES HE ALSO PROVIDES!
